Beul

Uitvoerder van lijfstraffelijke vonnissen. In het traditionele volkspoppenspel met Pulcinella,
Jan Klaassen, Katrijn, Punch en Judy komt bij tijd en wijle heel wat agressie naar voren.
Als de hoofdpersoon gestraft moet worden omdat hij iemand heeft gedood, ligt de tenuitvoerbrenging van het vonnis in handen van de beul. Hij voert de moordenaar naar het galgje, maar het potentiële slachtoffer weet het altijd zo te draaien dat de beul zelf komt te hangen.
